October 12, 2008: Well known local singers, Ken and Brenda Goodenberger,
will perform with the West Valley Symphony on Sunday December 7th in a Christmas
concert featuring many, many holiday favorites. Concert goers can choose
to attend an afternoon (3pm) or evening (7pm) program and enjoy favorites
like “Do You Hear What I Hear”, “O Holy Night”, “Carol of the Bells” and many
more. “Brenda and I are so excited to have the chance to sing with
the West Valley Symphony, especially at Shepherd of the Hills. The
Symphony is such an important organization in the West Valley Arts scene,
and this concert will truly put the audience in a Christmas mood” says Ken
Goodenberger.
The professional
orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Warren Cohen, will also perform Bizet’s
“Farandole from Arlesienne Suite No. 2, Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite No.
1” and Anderson’s “Sleighride” at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church
located at 13658 West Meeker in Sun City West. “This will be a fantastic
Christmas Concert and as a member of Shepherd of the Hills, I am so excited
to have the West Valley Symphony come to our church and perform with our
own Music Director, Ken Goodenberger and his wife Brenda. Everyone
is welcome!” says retired West Valley Symphony Violinist and Current Trustee,
Louisa Kellam.
